I am driven by a curiosity of how nature works, but also by a concern about how to protect its diversity and functioning. I have an Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Lund University and a broad interest in ecology, environmental science, sustainability, food security and food sovereignty. My main research interests concerns what criteria needs to be met to fulfil a sustainable use of the environment and natural resources, with focus on agriculture. The interaction between ecology and society, prominent especially in my focus area – agriculture, is particularly interesting.
My thesis treated the effects of farming practices and landscape complexity on pollinators and pollination, and if there were any effects of the time farms had been organic. During my Ph.D studies I also worked in projects on ecological networks, environmental schemes and multifunctional agriculture. Later my research involved effects of climate and weather on pollination and fruit production and quality.
